The death sentence of Rouhollah Azizi, a prisoner from Milajerd in Komijan city, who had previously been convicted for drug-related crimes, was carried out at Arak Central Prison.
According to the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at dawn, the death sentence of 40-year-old Rouhollah Azizi, hailing from Milajerd in Komijan city, was carried out at Arak prison.
The 40-year-old prisoner was arrested three years ago on drug-related crimes and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
So far, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in the government media, especially in the media outlets close to the judiciary.
Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, In July 2023, a minimum of 61 prisoners were executed in Iranian prisons.
