The number of executed prisoners in Khorram Abad prison increased to two

Additional news from Khorram Abad Central Prison indicates that the death sentence of another prisoner named Moradkhan Garavand has been carried out in this prison. Previously, the identity of a prisoner executed in this prison, named Murad Beyranvand, was confirmed and published by Hengaw.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, the death sentence of Murad Khan Garavand, a prisoner from the village of "Toh Khoshkeh" in the Lorestan province, was carried out in the central prison of Khorramabad.

Hengaw had previously reported the execution of Murad Beyranvand, a 38-year-old prisoner from Khorramabad, in the central prison of this city.

According to an informed source, these prisoners were previously arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

So far, the news of the execution of Murad Beyranvand and Murad Khan Garavand has not been announced in the Iranian state media, especially the media close to the judiciary.
