With the confirmation of the execution of Hamid Bakhshayesh, the number of prisoners who were executed at dawn today in Qezelhesar prison in Karaj increased to three. Hengaw had previously announced the execution of Iqbal Fatholahi and Mohsen Amrai.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, the death sentences of at least three prisoners named Hamid Bakhshayesh, Iqbal Fatholahi from Ilam, and Mohsen Amrai from Kohdasht were carried out in Qezelhesar prison in Karaj.
These three prisoners were previously arrested for drug-related charges and later sentenced to death by the Iranian Judiciary. Iqbal Fatholahi and Mohsen Amrai were cousins of each other and were sentenced to death in a joint case.
The news of the execution of these three prisoners has not been announced in the Iranian state media, especially the media close to the judiciary.
