After enduring four years of undisclosed incarceration in Sepidar Ahvaz and Adel Abad Shiraz prisons, the death sentences of three individuals arrested during the November 2019 protests—Gholam Rasul Heydari, a Baloch prisoner from Jask; Hani Albushebazi, an Arab prisoner from Shadegan; and Kamran Rezaei from Shiraz—have been carried out.

According to reports obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, and Thursday, November 30, 2023, the death sentences of Gholam Rasul Heydari from Jask and Kamran Rezaei from Shiraz, individuals arrested during the November 2019 protests, were executed secretly and without the knowledge of their families.

The Hengaw Organization for Human Rights exposes these secret executions and urges the international community to respond to this egregious violation of human rights. Emphasizing that international attention and pressure can halt such violations and prevent their recurrence, Hengaw invites all organizations and governments committed to human rights to condemn these inhuman acts and defend the principles of democracy and fundamental rights.

Informed sources reveal that Gholam Rasul Heydari, previously sentenced to life imprisonment by a Revolutionary Court branch in Tehran, was executed. After the life sentence was issued, he was transferred from Evin Prison in Tehran to Adel Abad Prison in Shiraz. Arrested on his way from Turkey to Jask, he faced charges of chanting protest slogans and possessing political books. The Baloch Activists Campaign reports that Ali Akbar Rasul, Gholam Rasul Heydari's father, suffered a cardiac arrest and died a day after his son's execution was announced.

On Thursday, November 30, the death sentence of Kamran Rezaei, who was arrested during the November 2019 protests and sentenced to death for the intentional murder of a Basij member, was executed. Additionally, after his arrest, he was subjected to seven months of torture and forced confessions against himself.

Additionally, Hani Albushebazi, a 32-year-old Arab political prisoner from Falahiya (Shadegan), who was arrested and sentenced to death during the November 2019 protests, was secretly executed in Sepidar prison in Ahvaz on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

Hani Albushebazi was arrested during a clash with government forces on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, in Falahiye city (Shadegan). Sentenced to death for the murder of a police officer and a Basij member, detailed information about his hearings and accusations remains unavailable. According to knowledgeable sources, he was compelled to make confessions against himself under severe torture. Notably, Hani Albushebazi sustained serious injuries from government forces' direct fire during his detention, and reports of his death circulated on social networks simultaneously.
