The death sentence of a Kurdish inmate and resident of Urmia, Faleet Aabedi, previously sentenced to death for drug-trafficking, was carried out in Qazvin Central Prison.
According to reports received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on the early morning of Thursday, January 11th, 2024, the execution sentence of Faleet Aabedi, a 55 years old Kurdish man from the village of "Berasb" in the Sumay-ye Beradust region in Urmia, was implemented in Qazvin Central Prison.
Sources from Hengaw state that Faleet Aabedi was arrested three years ago in Qazvin and later sentenced to execution by the revolutionary court of Qazvin on charges of possessing three kilograms of narcotics.
As of the time of this report, the execution of this inmate has not been officially announced in media outlets affiliated with the government, especially outlets close to the judiciary.
