Vahid Valizadeh arrested following raid on his home in Tabriz

Intelligence Department forces arrested Vahid Valizadeh, a Turkish civil and cultural activist, during a raid on his home in Tabriz and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the forces entered and searched Valizadeh’s home without presenting a warrant on Thursday, August 20, 2026. They confiscated some of his personal belongings before arresting him.
