The death sentence of prisoner Ahmad Esmaili, previously convicted on drug-related charges, was executed in Hamedan Central Prison (Alvand Prison).
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Wednesday, February 21, 2024, the death sentence of Ahmad Esmaili was carried out in Hamedan Central Prison.
Ahmad Esmaili was arrested five years ago on drug-related charges and subsequently sentenced to death by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court of Hamedan.
As of now, there has been no official announcement regarding the execution of this prisoner in Iranian state media, particularly outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
