A Prisoner Executed at Sepidar Prison, Ahvaz

The death sentence of Fariborz Dadgar, an Arab prisoner previously convicted of drug-related crimes, was executed at Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz. His father had also been executed in the same prison on similar charges.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Thursday, April 18, 2024, the execution of 36-year-old Fariborz Dadgar, a father from Mahshahr in Khuzestan province, was carried out in Sepidar Prison, Ahvaz.

Fariborz Dadgar had been arrested three years ago on charges related to drug-related crimes and subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Furthermore, Fariborz Dadgar's father had been executed in the year 2008 on drug-related charges at Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz.

As of the time of this report, the news of this prisoner's execution has not been announced in government media, especially those close to the judiciary.
