Execution of a Baloch Prisoner in Zahedan Central Prison

The execution of a Baloch prisoner from Iranshahr in Sistan and Baluchestan province, named Edris Jamshidzahi, was carried out in Zahedan Central Prison. He had previously been sentenced to death on charges of "premeditated murder."

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, July 18, 2024, the execution of Edris Jamshidzahi, 45 years old, father of five children and resident of the village of "Tigh Ap" in the Iranshahr district, was carried out in Zahedan Central Prison.

According to Haal Vsh, Edris Jamshidzahi was arrested in 2017 on charges of "premeditated murder" of a government official named Abdolkarim Sajadi in Iranshahr and was later sentenced to death.

News of this prisoner's execution has not been announced in government media, especially those close to the judiciary, at the time of writing this report.
