Death Sentence of a Baloch Prisoner Carried Out in Zahedan Central Prison

The death sentence of a Baloch prisoner identified as Fazl-Ahmad Fateh-Nia (Zarakzehi), who had previously been sentenced to death for the charge of "premeditated murder" by the Iranian judiciary, was carried out in Zahedan Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Wednesday, July 31, 2024, the death sentence of Fazl-Ahmad Fateh-Nia, a 30-year-old resident of Zahak County in Sistan and Baluchestan province, was carried out in Zahedan Central Prison.

This prisoner was arrested two years ago on charges of premeditated murder of his father and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary. He was transferred to solitary confinement in Zahedan prison the previous day for the execution of this sentence.

To date, the news of this prisoner's execution has not been announced in the Iranian state media, especially those affiliated with the judiciary.
