Khorramabad Prison: 14 Death Sentences Carried Out Over 17 Days

Within a span of 17 days (from July 27, 2024, to August 12, 2024), at least 14 prisoners, including one woman,who had previously been sentenced to death for premeditated murder and drug-related charges, had their death sentences carried out in Khorramabad Central Prison (Parsilon Prison).
Based on a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Monday, August 12, 2024, the death sentences of two prisoners from Khorramabad were carried out in Khorramabad Central Prison. One of the prisoners has been identified as 29-year-old Ayat Beyranvand, while the identity of the other prisoner is still under investigation. Both were convicted of premeditated murder.
On August 10, 2024, four prisoners also had their death sentences carried out in the same prison. The identities of the four prisoners are Hossein Hatami from Borujerd and Nasser Garavand from the Garavand region of Kuhdasht, who were convicted of drug-related charges, and Milad Hadipour and Shirzad Rashadat, who were convicted of premeditated murder in a joint case.
Furthermore, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, the death sentences of two prisoners from Dezful, identified as 35-year-old Malek Asher and 47-year-old Ahmadreza Toni, who had previously been convicted of drug-related charges in a joint case, were carried out in Khorramabad Central Prison.
Earlier, on Thursday, August 1, 2024, the death sentences of two prisoners, one of whom has been identified as Hamed Parseh and had been convicted of drug-related charges, were carried out.
On Saturday, July 27, 2024, four prisoners, including a woman whose identity has not been confirmed, had their death sentences carried out in Parsiloon Prison for drug-related charges. The identities of the three men whose death sentences were carried out have been confirmed as 45-year-old Azim Amraei from Kuhdasht, 45-year-old Ardeshir Maleki from Aligudarz, and a 27-year-old individual with the last name Farrokhpour from Tehran.
