10 prisoners, including one woman, executed in prisons across Iran

Iranian authorities have recently carried out the execution of ten individuals across multiple provinces, including Neyshabur, Qom, Ardabil, Yasuj, and Tabriz. The executed prisoners included four Turks, two of Lor origin, and one woman. The sentences were issued for charges such as drug-related offenses, premeditated murder, rape, and armed robbery.
 
The individuals executed have been identified as Babak Mostafavi, Hassan Rostamnejad, Azim Mohammadi, Tal’at Sabzi, Hedayat Manshari, Mehdi Davoudi, Houshang Morovati, Hadi Ahmadian, Mohammad Shokri, and Abbas Partovi.
 
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Saturday, June 28, 2025, 27-year-old Mostafavi was executed at Neyshabur Central Prison. He had been convicted on charges related to drug trafficking.
 
On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, three other individuals were executed at Qom Central Prison. The victims were identified as Rostamnejad, Mohammadi, and 47-year-old Sabzi. Each had been sentenced to death in separate cases involving charges of murder.
 
Rostamnejad had been imprisoned for four years for murdering a friend over financial disputes. Mohammadi had been convicted of killing his wife, and Sabzi was sentenced to death for the murder of her husband five years earlier.
 
Early morning On Sunday, June 22, 2025, 29-year-old Manshari was executed at Ardabil Central Prison. He had been in custody for four years after being convicted of murdering his fiancée.
 
On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, three additional executions were carried out at Tabriz Central Prison. The prisoners were identified as Ahmadian, aged 37, Shokri, aged 42, both from Tabriz, and Partovi. Ahmadian and Shokri had been arrested three years earlier in a joint case involving the alleged transportation of 80 kilograms of narcotics and possession of three firearms. Partovi had been convicted of armed robbery.
 
The wave of executions continued on Monday, June 16, 2025, with the execution of two Lor prisoners at Yasuj Central Prison. They were identified as Davoudi, 31, and Morovati, 32. Davoudi had been sentenced to death for murder following a street altercation, and Morovati had been convicted of rape. Both had been in custody for three years prior to their executions.
 
None of these executions have been officially acknowledged by state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets in Iran.
