Execution of three Afghan nationals carried out in Mashhad Central Prison

The death sentences of three Afghan nationals were carried out in Mashhad Central Prison (Vakilabad). The individuals have been identified as Pasha and Ahmad (surnames unknown), along with a third person whose identity is still being verified. All three had been convicted on drug-related charges.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions took place at dawn on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. The three men were arrested on charges related to narcotics and later sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iranian state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not reported on the executions.
