Prisoner in Bam Central Prison Executed

The death sentence of a Baloch prisoner, identified as Hamed Shahbakhsh, was carried out in Bam Central Prison, Kerman province. He had previously been sentenced to death for drug-related crimes.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution of 28-year-old Hamed Shahbakhsh, a resident of the Kurin district in Zahedan city, took place at dawn on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in Bam Central Prison.

Hamed Shahbakhsh was arrested five years ago and subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran on charges related to drug offenses.

As of the time of writing, the execution of Hamed Shahbakhsh has not been reported in government media, including outlets closely associated with the judiciary.
