Two Baloch Prisoners and Two Afghan Nationals Executed in Yazd Prison

The death sentences of at least four prisoners, including two Baloch individuals and two Afghan nationals, were carried out in Yazd Central Prison. These prisoners had previously been sentenced to death on charges related to drug crimes and homicide.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions took place at dawn on Monday, August 19, 2024. The identities of the two Baloch prisoners have been confirmed as 33-year-old Abdol Rauf Shahbakhsh and 34-year-old Abdolrahman Damani, both from Zahedan.
Additionally, two Afghan nationals, identified as Insar Eftkharoldin and Mahmood Salim, were executed. They had been charged with homicide and previously sentenced to death.
As of the time of writing, the executions of these four prisoners have not been reported in government media, including outlets closely associated with the government.
