The Death Sentences of Two Prisoners Carried out in Lahijan Prison

The death sentences of two prisoners, Ali Afrooz and Amirhossein Boroumand, who had previously been sentenced to death by the Iranian Judiciary for "premeditated murder," were carried out in Lahijan Central Prison.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Hunan Rights, at dawn on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, the death sentences of 31-year-old Ali Afrooz from Sari and 34-year-old Amirhossein Boroumand from Langarud were carried out in Lahijan Central Prison, Gilan Province.
Sources close to the matter reported that Ali Afrooz was arrested three years ago, and Amirhossein Boroumand four years ago, both charged with "premeditated murder" and subsequently sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
To date, the news of the execution of these two prisoners has not been announced in Iranian state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
