Death sentence of prisoner carried out in Kahnuj Central Prison, Iran

The execution of Mahmoud Bamari “Sabki,” a Baloch prisoner was carried out in Kahnuj Central Prison. He had been sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the “murder of a military officer."
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution carried out in the early hours of Thursday, October 17, 2024.
Mahmoud Bamari “Sabki,”45, was from Zahkalut, in the district of Jazmourian city, Kerman province.
As reported by the rasad Balochistan channel, Bamari was arrested in December 2018 for the alleged killing of military officer Sajad Jorjandi and sentenced to death. Despite paying blood money in a previous meeting held at Abu al-Fadl Mosque in Rudbar-e Jonub city with the victim’s family, Bamari was transferred to solitary confinement without his family being informed and was subsequently executed.
As of the time of this report, the news of this execution has not been officially announced by state media or outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
