Security forces arrest Kurdish man, Harun Salimi, whereabouts unknown

Harun Salimi, a Kurdish resident of Sanandaj, has been arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and his whereabouts have remained unknown since his arrest.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, October 21, 2024, Intelligence forces arrested 33-year-old Salimi from the village of Shian in Sanandaj (Sine) and transferred him to an undisclosed location.
Sources confirm that Salimi was detained on one of Sanandaj’s streets without the presentation of an arrest warrant.
As of this report, no specific details have emerged regarding the reasons for his arrest, the charges against him, his location, or his current condition. Efforts by his family to obtain information have so far been unsuccessful.
