Death sentences of two Afghan nationals carried out in Qom Central Prison

The death sentences of two Afghan nationals, Ayoub Sanger and Abdulraqib Maleki, who had previously been sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder,” were carried out in Qom Central Prison.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Saturday, October 22, 2024, the death sentences of 26-year-old Ayoub Sanger and Abdulraqib Maleki were carried out in Qom Central Prison.
Sources state that Ayoub Sanger was arrested four years ago on charges of “premeditated murder,” and Abdulraqib Maleki was also arrested on similar charges. Both were sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
To date, news of the execution of these prisoners has not been announced in state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
