Death sentence of Nine prisoners carried out in prisons of Iran

Yesterday, at least nine prisoners, including three Baloch prisoners, two from Sistan, and an Afghan national, were executed in the prisons of Yazd, Zahedan, Mashhad, Jiroft, and Hamedan. They had previously been sentenced to death on charges of homicide and drug-related offenses.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the death sentences of at least four prisoners were carried out at Mashhad Central Prison (Vakilabad Prison). These prisoners were identified as Mahmoud Shahraki and Mohammadreza Davar, both Sistani individuals from Zabol, Majid Ghadiri from Mashhad, and Zahir Safari, an Afghan national. They had each been sentenced to death in separate cases related to drug offenses.
In Jiroft Central Prison, a prisoner named Aref Kamali, a Baloch individual from Jiroft in Kerman Province, was also executed. He had been sentenced to death seven years ago for homicide.
Simultaneously, in Zahedan Central Prison, another Baloch prisoner, 26-year-old Yaqoub Narouei, was executed on prior charges related to drug-related offenses. He was from Zahedan and had been residing in Aq Qala, Golestan Province.
In Yazd Prison, another Baloch prisoner named Mohsen Nejadi-Moghaddam (also known as Sabaki), 30 years old, was executed yesterday. He was from Rigan in Sistan and Baluchestan Province and had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.
Additionally, two men from Hamedan, identified as Hamed Mehraban, 38, and Dariush Saeidi, 32, were executed today in Hamedan Central Prison (Alvand Prison). Hamed Mehraban had been sentenced to death six years ago for the murder of his wife, while Dariush Saeidi had been sentenced five years ago for homicide during a group altercation.
