Death sentence of two prisoners carried out in Tabriz Central Prison

The death sentences of two Turkish prisoners, Salar Shamipour Zardkhaneh and Ali Abedini were carried out in Tabriz Central Prison. They were previously convicted of “premeditated murder” in separate cases by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, early Wednesday morning, November 13, 2024, the death sentences of 44-year-old Salar Shamipour, a resident of the village of Zardkhaneh in Ahar County, and 46-year-old Ali Abedini, a resident of Tabriz, were carried out in Tabriz Central Prison.
Informed sources reported that Salar Shamipour had been arrested for three years and Ali Abedini for four years, both convicted of “premeditated murder” in separate cases, and sentenced to death.
To date, the news of the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
