Two prisoners executed in Tabriz Central Prison

The death sentences of two Turkish prisoners, identified as Majid Talebian and Morteza Daneshvand, convicted on drug-related charges, have been carried out at Tabriz Central Prison.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Wednesday, November 20, 2024, the execution of Majid Talebian, 43, from Abhar, and Morteza Daneshvand, 32, from Tabriz, took place in Tabriz Central Prison.
Sources confirm that Majid Talebian had been arrested for three and a half years and Morteza Daneshvand for three years before being sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran on charges related to drug offenses.
As of the time of this report, the executions have not been announced by state-affiliated media or judicial authorities.
