Three prisoners executed in Shiraz, Malayer, and Nishapur Prisons

The death sentences of three prisoners—Hamid Jahangiri, Mostafa Aminnejad, and Ebrahim (last name unknown)—were carried out in the prisons of Malayer, Shiraz (Adelabad), and Nishapur, respectively. They had been convicted and sentenced to death on charges related to drug offenses and premeditated murder.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, January 26, 2025, Hamid Jahangiri, 36 years old, was executed in Malayer Central Prison, Hamadan Province.

In a separate case, on the morning of Thursday, January 25, 2025, two more executions were carried out. Mostafa Aminnejad, 33, was hanged in Shiraz Central Prison, while Ebrahim (last name unknown), 41, faced the same fate in Nishapur Central Prison, located in Razavi Khorasan Province.

Ebrahim, from Nishapur, had been imprisoned for two years on charges of premeditated murder. Mostafa Aminnejad, on the other hand, had served three years for drug-related offenses.

Hamid Jahangiri had also been arrested in previous years on drug-related charges and was ultimately sentenced to death.

As of the time of this report, the executions of these prisoners have not been announced in state-run media, particularly those affiliated with Iran’s judiciary.
