Three prisoners executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison, Karaj

The death sentences of three Kurdish prisoners, identified as Farhad Ferdini, Samad Hashemi, and Farzad Mirzaei, have been carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison, Karaj. They were previously convicted of drug-related charges in a joint case by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Sunday, January 26, 2025, Farzad Mirzaei, 45 years old, Farhad Ferdini, 35 years old, and Samad Hashemi, 45 years old, all residents of Harsin in Kermanshah Province (Kirmashan), were executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison.

Sources revealed that these three prisoners had been arrested seven years ago on drug-related charges in a joint case and subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As of the time of this report, the execution of these three prisoners has not been reported in state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
