Resident of Mashhad sentenced to imprisonment

Seyed Javad Hoseininejad, a political prisoner held in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad, has been sentenced to eight months in prison by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Hoseininejad, a 36-year-old resident of Mashhad, married, and father of one child, was convicted on charges of “propaganda against the regime”. He was sentenced to eight months of imprisonment by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Mashhad.

Hoseininejad was arrested by security forces in late October 2024 and has since been held in Vakilabad Prison, Mashhad.
