Three prisoners executed in Tabriz and Zanjan Prisons

The death sentences of Shahram Monafzadeh, Farhad Abdoli, and Ali Rezaei were carried out in Tabriz and Zanjan Central Prisons, with the executions linked to rape and drug-related charges.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, February 9, 2025, Shahram Monafzadeh (33) and Farhad Abdoli (29) were executed in Tabriz Central Prison. Both had been convicted of rape in a joint case and sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, February 8, 2025, Ali Rezaei, a 50-year-old father of two from Takestan, Qazvin, was executed in Zanjan Central Prison. He had been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.
As of this report, state-affiliated media and judiciary-controlled outlets have not published any information regarding these executions.
