Two prisoners executed in Isfahan Central Prison

The death sentence of Mehdi Shabakhsh Pirsorani, and Tayeb Javadi, was carried out in Isfahan Central Prison. They were convicted on drug-related charges in separate cases.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, Mehdi Shabakhsh Pirsorani, a 40-year-old Baloch from Zahedan, was executed in Isfahan Central Prison. He was married and the father of one child.
At the same time, Tayeb Javadi, a 35-year-old man from Isfahan, was executed in the same facility. He had been sentenced to death three years ago on charges related to drug-crimes. Javadi was married and the father of one child.
Mehdi Shabakhsh Pirsorani had been arrested approximately six years ago on drug-related charges and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran. On Monday, February 10, 2025, he was transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for execution, and the day before his execution, he was granted a final visit with his family.
As of the time of this report, state-affiliated media, particularly those linked to the judiciary, have not announced these executions.
