Minu Rouzedar, a Tehran resident, remains in a state of legal uncertainty in the women’s ward of Evin Prison, despite being detained for 25 days. She was recently formally charged at the Evin Prosecutor’s Office.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Rouzedar, a mother of three from Tehran, has been held without a clear legal resolution.

Branch Five of the Evin Prosecutor’s Office has charged her with “propaganda against the regime” and “insulting the Leader and Founder of the Islamic Republic.”

Rouzedar was arrested on January 20, 2025, by security forces in Tehran and initially transferred to the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center, known as Ward 1-A.
After one week in detention, she was moved to the women’s ward of Evin Prison, where she remains without clarity on her legal status or a scheduled trial date.
