Two prisoners executed in Tabriz and Gorgan Prisons

The death sentences of two prisoners—Morteza Saadatpour Zeini and Abbas Fatehi—were carried out in the central prisons of Tabriz and Gorgan, respectively.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, March 30, 2025, Morteza Saadatpour Zeini, a 32-year-old Turkish prisoner from a village near Tabriz, was executed in Tabriz Central Prison. He had been arrested three years earlier on drug-related charges and later sentenced to death by Iran’s judiciary.

A day earlier, on Saturday, March 29, the execution of Abbas Fatehi, a 28-year-old Turkmen, was carried out in Gorgan Central Prison, Golestan Province.
He had been sentenced to death for the murder of his cousin, for which he was arrested four years ago.

As of the time of this report, neither execution has been publicly announced by state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
