At least seven prisoners, including a woman, two Kurds, and a Turkmen, were executed on Monday in a coordinated wave of executions across multiple Iranian prisons.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights ,the executions occurred in Gorgan, Karaj, Isfahan, and Arak, while a related case in Tabriz brings the total number of executions in recent days to eight.

Among those executed in Amirabad Prison of Gorgan were Mahboubeh Khosronejad, a woman imprisoned for five years; Safa Gharedashi, a 26-year-old Turkmen from Aq Qala; and Firooz Aliyari (also known as Erfan), 28, from Gorgan. All had been convicted of premeditated murder.

In Ghezel Hesar Prison of Karaj, two Kurdish prisoners—Kourosh Jalili, 27, from Kermanshah, and Mehran Nasri-Zar, 30, from Sanandaj—were secretly executed without the right to a final visit. They had been arrested three years ago in separate murder cases.

In Isfahan Central Prison, Mahmoud Hojjatzadeh, 35, from Torbat-e Heydarieh, was executed for drug-related charges. In Arak’s Central Prison, Jalil Azizi met the same fate for similar charges.

Separately, Peyman Mokhtari, a Turkish prisoner from Maragheh convicted of killing a friend in a personal dispute, was executed in Tabriz Central Prison on May 6. This brings the total executions at that facility on that day to two.

None of these executions have been reported by state or judiciary-affiliated media.
