Gorgan Central Prison: Ahmad Yavari executed on murder charges

The death sentence of Ahmad Yavari, a Gilak prisoner, was carried out in Gorgan Central Prison (Amirabad). He had previously been sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder.”

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, April 17, 2025, Ahmad Yavari, a 40-year-old father of two from Gorgan, was executed in secrecy at Amirabad Prison in Gorgan.

Yavari had been arrested two years ago on murder charges and was subsequently sentenced to death by the Islamic Republic of Iran's judiciary.
