Ehsan Hosseinzehi, 30-year-old Baloch father, executed in Khash Prison

Ehsan Hosseinzehi, a 30-year-old Baloch prisoner from Khash in Sistan and Baluchestan province, was executed at Khash Central Prison after being convicted of premeditated murder.
 
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Hosseinzehi, a father of one, had been imprisoned for two years prior to his execution.
 
He was initially turned over to the authorities by tribal elders after being accused of murder. Following his arrest, he was sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary. On Sunday, May 25, 2025, he was transferred to solitary confinement and had his final visit with family the day before the execution.
 
State and judiciary-linked media have yet to disclose any information about the execution.
