Death sentence carried out for Saber Elyasi in Qazvin Central Prison

The death sentence of Saber Elyasi, a Gilak prisoner previously sentenced to death for drug-related charges, was carried out at Qazvin Central Prison (Chubindar).

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 4, 2025, Saber Elyasi, a 33-year-old man from Langarud, Gilan province, was executed in Qazvin Central Prison.

Elyasi was arrested two years ago for drug-related charges and was sentenced to death by the judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

To date, the news of this execution has not been announced by state media or outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
