Mohammad-Hadi Farhadi executed in Shiraz Central Prison

The death sentence of Mohammad-Hadi (also known as Mehdi) Farhadi, a 33-year-old prisoner convicted of murder, has been carried out in Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad).

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution took place in the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

Sources informed Hengaw that Farhadi, a resident of Shiraz, had been arrested five years ago on murder charges and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was transferred from Ward 8 of Adelabad Prison to the gallows.

The execution has not been announced by state-run or judiciary-affiliated media outlets.
