Two Baloch prisoners executed at Zahedan Central Prison

The executions of two Baloch prisoners, Fereydoun Mohammadi and Mohammad Ali Miri (Mir-Baluchzehi), were carried out at Zahedan Central Prison, located in the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan province. The two men were sentenced to death in separate cases, both on charges of premeditated murder.
According to information received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, the executions took place at dawn on Sunday, May 11, 2025.
Mohammadi, 36, from the village of Bagh-e Malek in Fanouj County, had been imprisoned for seven years. He was sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary and was recently transferred from Chabahar Prison to Zahedan Central Prison, where his sentence was carried out.
Miri, 48, from Zabol, had been detained for approximately six years. He was also sentenced to death for involvement in a group altercation that resulted in premeditated murder.
The executions had not yet been acknowledged by state-run or judiciary-linked media at the time this report was issued.
