Executions carried out in Shiraz Central Prison: Three inmates, including a woman and an Afghan national

The death sentences of three individuals — Mahtab Amiri, a female prisoner; Asrar Amani, an Afghan national; and Ali Abolhosseini — were carried out at Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad) following convictions on charges of premeditated murder.
 
According to information obtained by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Amiri, a resident of Shiraz, was executed at dawn on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in the central prison of the city.
 
Two days earlier, on the morning of Monday, May 12, 2025, the executions of Abolhosseini, 32, from Abadan, and Amani, 30, an Afghan citizen, were also carried out at the same facility.
 
Sources familiar with the cases reported that Amiri had been sentenced to death three years ago, while Abolhosseini and Amani were sentenced four and two years ago, respectively, each in separate murder cases.
 
No official announcements regarding these executions have been made by state-affiliated media or judicial authorities.
