Mohammad Ebrahim Esfandiari executed for murder in Mashhad Central Prison

Mohammad Ebrahim Esfandiari, a prisoner convicted of premeditated murder, was executed at Mashhad Central Prison (Vakilabad).

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

Esfandiari, a resident of Mashhad, had been arrested four years ago and sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As of Friday, the execution has not been reported by state-run or judiciary-affiliated media outlets.
