Ali Akbar Ansari executed in Isfahan Central Prison on drug charges

Ali Akbar Ansari, a prisoner convicted of drug-related offenses, was executed in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd).

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution carried out on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Ansari, originally from Kashmar in Razavi Khorasan Province, had been arrested on drug charges and later sentenced to death by the judiciary.

As of Friday, the execution has not been reported by state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
