Three Prisoners executed in Yazd and Shiraz Prisons

The death sentences of three prisoners—Alireza Zarei and Mosib Farhadi in Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad), and Mojtaba Mansouri in Yazd Central Prison—have been carried out. The prisoners had been convicted on charges of premeditated murder and drug-related offenses.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Alireza Zarei, 29, from Shiraz, and Mosib Farhadi, 27, from Sari, were executed on the morning of Monday, May 19, 2025, at Shiraz Central Prison.

Zarei had been arrested five years ago on drug-related charges, while Farhadi was detained four years ago for premeditated murder. Both were sentenced to death by the judiciary of Islamic Republic of Iran.

On the same day, Mojtaba Mansouri, a 44-year-old man from Ardakan, was executed in Yazd Central Prison. He had been arrested three years earlier on drug-related charges and later sentenced to death.

The executions have not been officially confirmed or reported by state-run or judiciary-affiliated media outlets.
