Execution of six prisoners, including Baloch inmate, implemented in Yazd Central Prison

The death sentences of six prisoners, including a Baloch inmate, were carried out at Yazd Central Prison. They were identified as Mohammadreza Dehghan Dehnouri, Javad Rezaei, Noorveis Achak Zehi, Vali Shahrbabaki, Reza Beig, and Javad Haghi. The men had been convicted in separate cases on charges including drug-related offenses and premeditated murder.
According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions of Achak Zehi, a Baloch prisoner from Kerman Province, along with Dehghan Dehnouri, Javad Rezaei, Shahrbabaki, and Beig, were carried out in the early hours of Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in Yazd Central Prison.
Sources familiar with the cases reported that Dehghan Dehnouri, Rezaei, Achak Zehi, and Shahrbabaki had been sentenced to death on charges of premeditated murder, while Beig was convicted of drug-related crimes.
About two weeks earlier, another prisoner—Javad Haghi—was executed in the same facility after being sentenced to death for premeditated murder.
All five prisoners executed on May 21 had been transferred to solitary confinement on Monday, May 19, 2025, in preparation for the implementation of their sentences.
Official Iranian state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not publicly announced or acknowledged these executions.
