Donya Hosseini, known online as “Donya Azad” and originally from Khuzestan, has been held incommunicado for 12 days following her arrest in Tehran.

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on June 16, 2025, security forces arrested the 37-year-old blogger at her private residence in Tehran.

Shortly afterward, she made a brief phone call to her family, confirming her transfer to Evin Prison. Her home was then sealed by authorities.

A source close to the Hosseini family reported that since the Israeli missile strike on Evin Prison on June 23 and the subsequent mass transfer of prisoners to other detention centers in Tehran Province, Hosseini has not contacted her family at all.

She was previously arrested on August 12, 2023, during which security forces confiscated her electronic devices and handwritten notes.

No detailed information is available regarding the reasons for her arrest, potential charges, or her current condition and whereabouts.
