Three prisoners—Habib Almasi, Jabrail Hashemzadeh, and Shahriar Khalafi—were recently executed in the central prisons of Isfahan and Qom. All three had been convicted on drug-related charges.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Monday, June 2, 2025, the death sentences of Habib Almasi, approximately 35 years old and a father of two, and Jabrail Hashemzadeh, 30, were carried out in Dastgerd Central Prison in Isfahan. Both prisoners, originally from Birjand in South Khorasan Province, were maternal cousins.

The two had been arrested together four years ago in connection with a joint narcotics case and were subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Separately, on the morning of Sunday, June 1, 2025, Shahriar Khalafi—also convicted on drug-related charges—was executed in Qom Central Prison following a death sentence issued by the Revolutionary Court.

None of these executions have been announced by state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
