Sanjar Nawabi executed in Kerman Central Prison

The death sentence of Sanjar Nawabi, a prisoner from Sirjan, located in Iran’s Kerman Province, was carried out in Kerman Central Prison. Nawabi had been convicted on drug-related charges.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution took place at dawn on Monday, May 26, 2025.

Nawabi was arrested five years ago in connection with narcotics-related offenses and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

No official announcement regarding his execution has been published by state-run media or outlets affiliated with the Iranian judiciary.
