Afshin Yari executed in Malayer Central Prison

The death sentence of a prisoner identified as Afshin Yari, who had been convicted of murder, was carried out at Malayer Central Prison in Iran’s Hamadan Province.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution took place at dawn on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Sources familiar with the case stated that Yari had been arrested in connection with a murder charge and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

State media, particularly outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not announced or confirmed the execution.
