Abdolbaset Shahdadzehi hanged in Zahedan Central Prison

The death sentence of Abdolbaset Shahdadzehi, a Baloch prisoner from Khash in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, has been carried out in Zahedan Central Prison. He had previously been convicted of premeditated murder by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to information received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, the execution took place at dawn on Monday, June 9, 2025. Shahdadzehi, 25, was a resident of Kahno village in the Irandegan district of Khash.
He had been arrested two years earlier in connection with a street altercation that resulted in a murder charge, for which he was subsequently sentenced to death.
State media—particularly outlets affiliated with the judiciary—have not reported the execution.
