Hengaw - Monday, June 9, 2025

Hemin Gholizadeh was transferred to Bukan Central Prison earlier this month to begin serving a two-year sentence. He is currently on the 16th day of his imprisonment.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Gholizadeh was arrested on Saturday, May 24, 2025.

A source close to the family reported that Gholizadeh was recently convicted by Branch 101 of the Bukan Criminal Court on charges of “collaborating with the Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK)” and sentenced to two years in prison. Despite accepting the ruling, the verdict remained unchanged. His father, Abdullah Gholizadeh, who was also implicated in the case, was acquitted.

Hemin Gholizadeh was originally arrested on November 30, 2024, at his home in Bukan, along with his father.

Previous reports by Hengaw, citing informed sources, noted that Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence agents searched Gholizadeh’s home during the arrest and confiscated several personal belongings.

Following the arrest, he was transferred to an IRGC intelligence detention center at the Al-Mahdi military base in Urmia. He was later released on bail in early January 2025, pending the outcome of judicial proceedings.
