Hengaw - Sunday, June 1, 2025

The death sentence of Jomaa Narouei (Shirzai), a 25-year-old undocumented Baloch man from Zahedan, was carried out early Sunday morning at Zahedan Central Prison. He had previously been convicted of premeditated murder by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution took place at dawn on June 1, 2025. Narouei had been imprisoned for approximately seven years following his arrest and conviction by the Iranian judicial system.

As reported by Haalvsh, Narouei lacked official identification documents and was arrested on murder charges roughly seven years ago. He was transferred to solitary confinement on Friday, May 30, in preparation for the execution.

No state-affiliated media outlets — including those linked to Iran’s judiciary — have publicly acknowledged or reported the execution.
