Six members of the Baha’i religious minority — Nagmeh Mirza-Agha, Mahin Sa’adatmand, Mahshid Sefidi, Samar Masoudi, Mona Zakaei, and Naser Rajab — have each been sentenced to 10 months in prison by the Iranian judiciary on charges of “propaganda against the state.”

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the verdicts were issued by Branch 2 of the Alborz Revolutionary Court on Saturday, May 31, 2025. In addition to the prison terms, the six baha'i adherents were banned from leaving the country for two years following the completion of their sentences.

Two hearings had previously been held on March 3 and May 9, with final sentences delivered on May 31.

The group had initially been summoned to Branch 21 of the Karaj Revolutionary Court on July 6, 2024, where they were charged and later released on bail and surety pending trial.
