Davood Alinejad and Ali Rezaei executed in Arak

The death sentences of two prisoners, Davood Alinejad and Ali Rezaei, were carried out at Arak Central Prison following convictions on charges related to drug offenses and premeditated murder.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, Rezaei—a father of one—was executed in Arak Central Prison. He had been arrested five years earlier on charges of premeditated murder and later sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Similarly, at dawn on Sunday, June 8, 2025, Alinejad was executed at the same facility. He had been arrested six years ago on drug-related charges and was subsequently sentenced to death.
The executions of both prisoners have not been officially reported by state-affiliated media, particularly those linked to Iran’s judiciary.
