Jalal Nazarbeigi executed in Hamedan Central Prison

The death sentence of Jalal Nazarbeigi, a 33-year-old Turkish prisoner from Razan, Hamedan province, was carried out in Hamedan Central Prison. With this execution, the number of inmates executed in this prison on the same day has risen to two. 

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Nazarbeigi was executed at dawn on Sunday, July 13, 2025. He had been arrested three years ago and later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary on drug-related charges. 

On the same day, another prisoner, Hamid Yavari from Hamedan, was also executed in Hamedan Central Prison on similar charges. 

These executions have not been announced by state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
